Welcome to Left Nut Records
The Best Music Around

This will be a good resource for bands to sign up and send their demos to potentially be signed.

Left Nut Records began life as DMusic Records in 2002 in Mohegan Lake, NY, but was bought out by dmusic.com in 2004. As the head of DMusic Records, Donald W. Mohr developed such acts as Daemon’s Child, Riddim, the William Jefferson Poetry Experiment, and Your Band Sucks. After the buyout, things went stagnant as Donald W. Mohr began attendance at Berklee College of Music. In March 2006, Left Nut Records was conceived for its initial release of Tim Salter’s EP, I Think I’ll Skip My First Divorce. On July 13, 2006, Left Nut Records’ first full-length album, Tim Salter’s And To My Surprise, was released. Since then, recent projects with Left Nut Records include the Christmas with the Crunks EP, a project tentatively titled Don Goes Electronic, and the latest Daemon’s Child project, entitled 2006 and Beyond. Filthy American is a recent addition to the Left Nut Records lineup and their initial release is under heavy production.

Left Nut Records operates on a pretty simple philosophy: Don't be in this for the money because the money isn't there. As a stock option, Left Nut Records wouldn't be a strong buy. We operate with the philosophy that the artist comes first, they do the hard work and they deserve the money. That doesn't mean LNR is a charity either. But the artist portion of CD sales is unheard of in this industry. We take the tried and true method of release what is good, don't just put something out because you think you can make a buck on it. You are hard working, we don't take that for granted.

After the move from the bitter cold northeast full of bad drivers, Left Nut Records has found it's home in Central Texas amongst other bad drivers.

Please bookmark us as we are undergoing some major changes here on the website. They may take a while as Production and Web Design rarely make time for each other. Soon to come will be a form to join the mailing list for our monthly newsletter, "The Left Nut Ledger." Also will be a form to submit band information and direct us to a demo. we are always looking for new bands.

If you'd like more information about us, please feel free to call us here at (512) 358-4689 or email Donald W. Mohr personally at donald.mohr@gmail.com.
